It was crucial during the design process to make the Annex a community space where students and staff want to spend time. Using our research, we designed a natural flow through the space to encourage a sense of community. Introducing lounge and study space as well as creating an emphasis on nature give the Annex a refreshing feel. Using varying furniture and creating new study and presentation spaces, we have catered to all learning types. Lastly, creativity will be sparked with the addition of a student work gallery and interesting architectural elements.
